A useful plan before collection day

Send the pickup postcode, delivery postcode, make and model, and preferred date. For a private purchase, check that the seller has agreed the handover and that the vehicle will be accessible. Provide a contact at each end so keys, paperwork and arrival instructions can be coordinated without leaving the driver waiting at a locked gate.

Running and non-running vehicles

Tell us whether the vehicle runs and drives for loading. A non-runner may still be straightforward to collect if it rolls, steers and has accessible keys, while locked wheels or suspension damage can change the equipment needed. Mention modifications or unusually low bumpers before the quote is confirmed.

Local delivery or a longer journey

A short Cardiff garage move and a collection from elsewhere in the UK involve different routes and scheduling. We quote for the requested journey, including known loading or access complications. If you want collection and delivery on a particular day, say so early; a preferred date is a request until the team confirms the booking.

BEFORE YOUR COLLECTION

Your questions, answered.

Can you move a car I have bought privately?

Yes, request a quote with both postcodes and the seller’s agreed collection arrangements. Make sure the car is paid for and the person handing it over has authority to release it.

Does the car need to drive onto the truck?

Not necessarily. Explain whether it rolls, goes into neutral and has usable steering and wheels so the loading method can be assessed.
