Check release before booking the truck

Send the auction company and branch, vehicle details, delivery postcode and preferred collection date. Payment and release must be cleared by the auction. Copart collections use its Transportation App and require the relevant member and lot information. BCA collection appointments and collector details are managed through MyBCA. Share the confirmed release instructions securely with the team when needed.

An auction description is only the starting point

Tell us if the vehicle runs and drives for loading, and always flag wheel or suspension damage. If it does not drive, the team needs enough detail to assess rolling movement, steering and transmission release. Photographs from the listing can help show damage, but loading suitability still depends on the vehicle presented at collection.

A delivery address that can accept the car

A non-runner needs somewhere suitable to be unloaded. Check that your garage, driveway or receiving yard has room and that someone can accept delivery. Mention restricted access, loose surfaces and opening hours before agreeing the movement. Auction loading, storage and release rules remain the auction’s responsibility; transport is quoted for your requested collection and delivery.

BEFORE YOUR COLLECTION

Your questions, answered.

Can someone collect an auction car on my behalf?

You can arrange a transporter subject to the auction’s current release and booking rules. Provide the required authorisation and collector details before the agreed slot.

Is a run-and-drive listing a guarantee that I can drive it home?

No. Read the auction’s terms and inspect the information carefully. Transport arrangements must follow the site’s release rules and the vehicle’s actual condition.
