Residential and student-area collections
Cathays has university activity and controlled parking areas. When your car is between other parked vehicles, tell us whether it can roll out, steer and release the handbrake. Describe any narrow approach or access from a rear lane. Do not promise a clear loading space that will not be available when the truck arrives.
Moving a car between home and workshop
For a planned collection, confirm who has the keys and whether the garage is expecting the vehicle. Students and visitors arranging transport back to another town should give both postcodes and a preferred date. This allows the quote to reflect the full journey rather than assuming a short move within Cardiff.
Keep the information useful
A flat battery, puncture and mechanical non-runner are different requests. Tell us what happened and whether there is visible wheel damage. If access is managed by a landlord, accommodation provider or permit scheme, arrange permission ahead of time. Parking and access conditions should be checked at the location.
Your questions, answered.
Can you recover a car parked close to other cars?
The team needs to assess the space and whether your vehicle can be moved into a loadable position. Send a clear description and photographs if requested.
Can my housemate hand over the keys?
Tell us who will authorise release and meet the driver. A third-party handover must be agreed before collection.
